Ethical & Sustainable

Savile Clifford is committed to sustainabilty by using ethically sourced yarns & processes low on environmental impact. Working with local community projects to improve the local environment. We continue to develop skills of our workforce through modern apprentiships & student placement programs to futureproof our business.

Manufacturing Process

We respect animal welfare by using non-mulesed wools.

Wool & natural fibres are renewable & biodegradable. A well constructed fabric creates a garment that will stand the test of time.

The Eco Wash finishing process uses 90% less water from a sustainable source, using natural soaps & no harmful chemicals to wash the fabric.

Supporting The Local Community

Savile Clifford is located in New Mill. As the name suggests, there has been textile manufacture in the village for many generations. We are committed to securing the continuation of this industry for generations to come.

We are dedicated to continuing a long tradition of textile manufacture in the area by employing the local community & offering modern apprenticeships. We have an ongoing student placement programme with the University of Huddersfield Fashion & Textile Design courses & support students for their final year projects.

Working with River Holme Connections to maintain the local environment through protection of the local river & woodland surrounding the mill.

We are committed to recycling waste fabrics & donate these to local schools, charities & community groups.
